A1: Engaging Students With Video Creation Projects | Session evaluation
When students create projects that are only shared in the classroom, they'll settle for good enough. When students create videos that are shared with a global audience, they'll only settle for the best. This hands-on workshop introduces teachers to a variety of tools that their students can use to create videos to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a wide array of topics. Participants in this session will learn about video formats and each format can fit into their classrooms. A discussion of copyright, Creative Commons, and fair use is included in this workshop. At the end of the workshop each participant will have at least one completed video to share with others.
Presented by: Richard Byrne
A2: Meet Pennsylvania Young Reader's Choice Award winning authors Jerry Spinelli and Alan Gratz | Session evaluation
Want to know more about the boy who inspired Alan Gratz’s Prisoner B-3087? Dying to ask Jerry Spinelli about his inspiration for Jake & Lily? Attend a Q&A with these winners of the 2015 Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Awards. What would your students like to know about their writing processes, motivations and inspirations? Plan ahead and brainstorm questions with your students, and then take advantage of the opportunity to ask these questions in person.
Presented by: PSLA Awards Committee

Become a “techbrarian” today!
Presented by: Theresa E Bartholomew & Liz Brobst, Warrior Run School District
